Our Success Stories

We Measure Our Success in Smiles, Milestones, and the Joy of Connection

  • "Our son is medically complex with ventilator dependence and hearing/vision impairments. Ms. Amy, tailored our activities / stimulation during our session based on how alert our son is. She worked collaboratively with other therapists to find the right Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices that fits our son’s ability to activate the devices and to customize the AAC IPad based on what our son may prefer with his vision/ hearing abilities. She continuously performs assessments on our son’s progress and creates therapy care plans. Aside from being knowledgeable on AAC devices, Ms. Amy also gives our son some oral sensory stimulations during our session. We’ve been noticing improvements in our son’s jaw strength and our son is now developing a bite reflex."

    — Client

  • We would highly recommend Ms. Amy to anyone who has a child with SLP and AAC device needs.

    — Client

  • "I would highly recommend Ms. Amy. Ms. Amy has been working with our son since August last year. She comes to our home once a week with her full serive dog, Jeanine. Our son loves receiving kisses from Jeanine."

    — Client

  • "Amy has had a tremendous effect on our child’s understanding and utilization of speech. When we first started with Amy our child only made two or three vowel sounds. Now we can understand almost everything our chatterbox is saying. Amy has established goals that are developmentally appropriate and helped our child achieve them. She has been instrumental in helping us navigate and make arrangements for the services our child needs. We have been with Amy for over three years now I recommend her services whole-heartedly."

    — Client

  • "Amy at Creative Communicators Rocky Mountain has been providing speech therapy for my son Silas for 5 years. We started him around 12-15 months old and have been progressing ever since. Amy engages Silas with fun activities or games and then incorporates it into his therapy. Through our therapy journey we started with simple signs and sounds and as we grew Amy provided us with an assistive device or “talker”. We have grown so much and she is now helping us with three word phrases as well as talking with his device. Therapy has not only helped his confidence but has helped with emotional outbursts caused by communication delays. Amy is creative when coming up with new strategies or techniques to help him grow and many times lets Silas lead with interests and choices."

    — Client

  • "Amy is always on top of new research, ideas and has knowledge and insight about sensory needs as well as behavioral needs. She also has an amazing working companion Janeane that helps with calming and refocusing Silas when he needs a little extra help. She has also supported us and others by attending IEP meetings and advocating for the rights and welfare of children with special needs."

    — Client

  • "Amy is wonderful and has been a huge support to our family. Our youngest daughter had a significant speech delay, barely speaking understandably at 3, and is now communicating strongly at 5. We had opportunities to work with three other SLPs over the past three years and my daughter by far made the most progress with Amy; we sought out the chance to work with her again. Amy cares about her clients and makes speech fun and engaging, integrating activities and literacy, which has encouraged my daughter to learn. My daughter loves Amy (and Jeanine), and I'd absolutely recommend her!"
